Cleerly's Statement on Heartflow’s lawsuit to limit competition

Written by Cleerly | April 17, 2026

At Cleerly, our mission has always been clear and unwavering: to create a world without heart attacks. Every decision we make – from the innovative products we launch, to our landmark clinical studies, to every person we hire – is made with that goal top of mind.

Our hard work is paying off. Over the past two years, Cleerly has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, launched new tools and features to enhance our products, and obtained payor coverage for millions of Americans. All this work has resulted in substantial growth of our company and customer base.

Against this backdrop, Heartflow decided to suddenly and unexpectedly file a patent infringement lawsuit against us. We strongly disagree with the allegations and will vigorously defend against these baseless claims. In the meantime, we want to assure you of the following:

  • Uninterrupted Service: This lawsuit will not interfere with our commitment to our customers, their patients, and the cardiovascular community. We will not be distracted from our core mission and will continue to provide you with the products, support, and excellence you expect from us.
  • We Stand by Our Transformative Technology: We are confident in the strength of our IP portfolio and that we do not violate Heartflow’s IP rights. Our products are the result of original research, proven in groundbreaking clinical trials and published in top peer-reviewed journals over the past two decades. We are prepared to vigorously defend our intellectual property and our right to serve you and your patients.
  • Mission First: We will not be deterred or distracted by these meritless tactics. Our focus remains exactly where it belongs: on you and the patients you serve.

When we started this mission, we knew the path wouldn't always be easy. However, our commitment to our customers is paramount. We are more energized than ever to continue our work and ensure that life-saving technology remains accessible to those who need it most.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership as we move forward together toward a world without heart attacks.

— James K. Min, MD, CEO, and the dedicated employees of Cleerly
